There is a curious kind of beauty to the collapse and disintegration of any living thing. Our own cultural obsessions with wealth and power create a weird kind of fossil of our own language and ideas that marks the end of the modern era. Here we are transported by a larger sense of time to see that dead message collapsed inward and condensed by the weight of history into some new diamond.
